Enjoy learning how to make your own creative and unique mosaics.
Discover the ancient techniques, and also the very modern Italian glass and materials used to make a 21st century mosaic.
Workshops are for beginners and for those with some prior experience of mosaics.
Workshops are held from 10am – 4pm in venues throughout Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.
All classes are for a minimum of six people. Locations in London can also be provided. Private lessons are available in Cambridgeshire.

Workshop descriptions are as below.
An Introduction to Mosaics
Level: Beginner
Times: 10am-4pm. Cost: £55
The first workshop will include a brief overview of the history of mosaics and provide an introduction to key pioneers, including Raymond Isidore and Antoni Gaudi. Master a variety of tools as you use them to cut and lay your first mosaic. Receive advice on colour and composition, and the opportunity to explore a range of techniques and processes. In this class you will be making your first mosaic! .
Everyday Mosaics
Level: Beginner
Times: 10am-4pm. Cost: £65
The second workshop lets you transform everyday objects into art, starting with your home or garden! You’ll prepare and decorate a garden ornament or plant pot and turn it into an original mosaic. Bring your plant pot or a small photo to turn into a stunning mosaic!.
Mosaics in Human Form
Level: Beginner
Times: 10am-4pm. Cost: £65
Our third workshop will focus upon the face and you’ll learn how to depict the human form within a mosaic. You will design a mosaic using the face to create a dramatic central image.
Mosaics and Movement
Level: Beginner
Times: 10am-4pm. Cost: £65
In our third workshop you’ll explore the use of animal forms and nature within your mosaic. The theme of this class is movement and you’ll learn how to convey motion through mosaics.
Mosaic Sculptures (two-day workshop)
Level: Intermediate (has taken the introductory class)
Times: 10am-4pm. Cost: £100 (there is a small additional charge should you wish to use our stained glass)
The project for our fifth workshop is a sculpture mosaic. If you’d like a unique piece for indoors, why not create a quilt wall hanging using mosaic patterns? Or perhaps you’d prefer a centrepiece for your garden? Create a fish with beautiful mosaic fins. You will be supported in any ideas you have – the choice is yours!
Modern Mosaics (two-day workshop)
Level: Intermediate (has taken the introductory class)
Times: 10am-4pm. Cost: £100 (there is a small additional charge should you wish to use our stained glass)
For our sixth and final workshop, your own imagination will be your guide as you create a modern abstract mosaic. You will be given support and guidance to follow your own flight of fancy. Forget reality, it’s time to explore form and colour! This final class will include a list of all the resources / materials used throughout the course and stockists.
